FRED TRANSIT™

Transit Riders with term passes need to be registered into the Transit Rider Database. A Profile ID form/document needs to be completed with Profile information for each Rider using Term Passes.

For day-to-day riders, purchasing tickets, FRED™ can apply FRED™ Feature Recognition at point of purchase via transit Ticket Window and we are working on being able to retrofit Kiosks to be able to integrate ticket information with Feature Recognition. In either case, the Rider will essentially have access to travel anywhere that is established on their ticket or pass, without even needing the physical ticket/pass.

Note that for long distance travel, FRED™ can generate rider manifests, calculate and identify seat availability and preassigned seat locations/numbers.

Process Flow for checking onboarding and exiting Transit Riders

Passenger Purchases Tickets or a Term Pass (incorporating FRED™ Feature Recognition)

Passenger boards a TRANSIT VEHICLE, FRED™ software takes pictures and instantaneously cross references with a central data base located in a safe room on Customer Premises. FRED™ will Identify the rider via profile ID and Route Manifest.

The FRED Tablet™ will display to the driver, a real time picture, next to the Matching profile ID picture (Passenger may opt out of Clear Picture, making the matched picture “blurred out” to driver), as well, the driver will be able to compare with the actual rider as they enter vehicle. Unless the driver overrides FRED’s match, the rider will be checked in and accounted for on the Manifest and will also be tagged with GPS coordinates. (see “Anomaly Notifications” section for riders that FRED™ does NOT accept, either due to no match found with a profile ID, or there are “special instructions” for that rider)

If a rider has changed transport vehicles for selected days (for example to join a friend), the rider needs advance caregiver permission, which needs to be submitted to school administration before the start of the day. The appointed administrator will need to change both Manifests to reflect the bus change.

Any rider that is not ordinarily on the Manifest needs to contact the designated admin to be added to the Manifest

FRED™ will check out all exiting riders and note on the Manifest, including GPS coordinates

The bus/vehicle will be tracked while in-route and can be mapped and monitored by designated administrators and/or Caregivers on a personal cellphone app.
